January 8 - 12

Learning Outcomes

Physical Education and Wellness

Students demonstrate and adapt various movement patterns to enhance skill development.

What Did Students Do?

Students were given the opportunity to participate in inline skating with Alien- Inline.  They had three one hour sessions with Greg, our instructor.  Students learned about safety equipment and why it is important.  They were taught how to stand properly and how to fall properly in order to stay safe and protect their bodies.  They were taught various skills throughout the week and had a great time playing some fun games.  All students made excellent progress through the week.  Even our more seasoned skaters learned some new skills.  Some of our students had never been on inline skates before and by the end of the week they were traveling through the gym.  We even had a disco skating party at the end of the day three.  Great work Room 8!

Ask your child:

-What did you enjoy most about inline skating this week?

-What new skills did you learn?

-What was the hardest part about inline skating?
